When it's so cold out, you need two coats. Yes, that's what's happening in NYC right now. You will however notice that I still managed to expose my ankles haha. I actually might have issues...ahh well, what can ya do?
Trying to look pulled together when essentially you'd like to layer all of your favorite sweats and wrap yourself in your down comforter can be challenging. I love love love this coat that I got from OneStopPlus last winter. It's your basic black wool coat but it has a huge leather collar and cuffs, a really cool weave and great buttons. But I did wear it quite a bit last winter and I was thinking about how I can update it.
The short gray Calvin jacket I scored from Century 21 off season and it was a steal. It isn't plus size but obviously is generously cut and the size large fit. It has leather trim and I thought layering them might be kind of cool. I tried it, I liked it, I wore it.
That's the thing, sometimes you just have to play with your wardrobe and put things together...sometimes you are pleasantly surprised! Also, two coats are better than one when it's freezing. Literally. Freezing.
